She birthed Empowerment Temple in 2014 in the back of the Cuthbert Library which grew by leaps and bounds at that time. Her strategy was breaking bread house to house and street evangelism where many were lead to Christ and someone's church even if it wasn’t her own church. A little after maxing out the capacity of the library, the very young ministry was able to purchase their church home on 4th Street by divine appointment.

Apostle Rushin is also an entrepreneur, and a collaborative author of the books, Destiny is Calling Get in the Flow and Prayer is the Master Key. Apostle Rushin has been in ministry over 20 years that had humble beginnings in the African American Episcopal Church in Cuthbert, Ga and at Payne Chapel A.M.E Church until she was led of the Lord to shift. Apostle has served well as a servant and daughter to leadership, a student of test and time, and is discipling others to do the same. Apostle believes the best way to build a church is first by building up a people with a ready-made mind.

She is under the Apostolic covering of Apostle Daniel L. Akins and Pastor Vonyett Akins of More Sure Word Church and Voice of Many Waters Apostolic Alliance of Churches. (VOMWAA). Apostle has served under their breath and heart beat since 2017.

Apostle Turkeisa Rushin is sold out to this journey and labors in the vineyard relentlessly. She's so much to so many but most of all she is one who will obey God and live in her decisions of obedience. The Kingdom of God has made it's mark in her life with notable miracle, signs, and wonders that follow her ministry. She is no stranger to the work. For the rest of her days, she has offered herself unto the Lord in obedience to His plan, calling, choosing, and will. To her, Jesus Christ is Lord both now and forever, in public and in private, in sickness and in health, in life and in death being sent to the Nations
